Mumbai based Coinome, one of India’s largest exchanges and backed by payment provider Billdesk, have added Ripple (XRP) to their list of traded cryptocurrencies.

The addition allows customers to deposit XRP into their accounts and trade with Indian Rupees (INR) and Bitcoin (BTC). So far only those two trading pairs are available, but Coinome hopes to add more soon.

The listing also comes with a competition offering up to 1 Lakh (US$1,482) in prizes for the highest XRP traders.

Billdesk is a financially independent firm that is regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. It launched Coinome in November last year to provide a trading platform for its many customers who are cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

The platform initially supported only Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) with plans to eventually support over 20 coins. It has since added support for DASH, QTUM, Bitcoin Gold (BTG), Zcash (ZEC), Litecoin (LTC) and Digitbyte (DGB).

Ripple has seen some small gains in its XRP coin today after suffering from some severe lows this week. Monday saw prices for the asset drop as low as $0.55 but it has since recovered to $0.60. It remains at 3rd position on CoinMarketCap, with a total valuation of $23.4 million.
