Tony Robbins Tweets About Bitcoin

There is no doubt that over the years, more and more individuals know about Bitcoin, whether they are up to date with technology news or have a job and interests completely unrelated to blockchain and cryptography. This is natural, considering it has been over 10 years since Bitcoin was created.

There are various businessmen and celebrities that have spoken publicly about Bitcoin and its potential, or spoken about the potential of other projects. For example, Steve Wozniak has been public about the potential of Ethereum, and even compared it to Apple before. The latest celebrity to mention Bitcoin was Tony Robbins, a best-selling author and motivational speaker.

Tony Tweets

For those who are unaware, Anthony Robbins – known globally as “Tony Robbins” – is not only a bestselling author, but a serial entrepreneur whose companies have earned billions in sales. He is known for holding expensive seminars that involve audience participation and loud music, as well. He recently was the subject of a documentary entitled I Am Not Your Guru.

Robbins has a considerable social media following. He recently tweeted to over 3 million followers about Bitcoin. He specifically wrote “What the heck is bitcoin, and how does it work?” and linked to an article featured on his website. There were many in the cryptocurrency community who were excited to see the life and business coach mention Bitcoin to his massive following.

About The Article

The article provides information surrounding the basics of Bitcoin. For example, it points out that the digital asset is decentralized and cannot be controlled by banks and/or governments, and that there can only ever be 21 million circulating Bitcoin.

The tweet went viral quickly, and as of press time, has over 1,000 retweets and 3,000 likes. One of the most well-known cryptocurrency accounts on Twitter, Anthony Pompliano, took the opportunity to reply to Robbins’ tweet, and plugged his “Off The Chain” newsletter in the process:
