The price of Tron (TRX) is up 13 percent following an announcement of a listing on cryptocurrency exchange BITBOX.
BITBOX is a Singapore-based digital asset exchange which was launched in July this year in partnership with Japanese mobile communications corporation, LINE.
The price increase has moved Tron (TRX) up one position on CoinMarketCap, taking over the 11th position from the fee-less, micro-transactions protocol IOTA.
Tron founder Justin Sun followed up the listing with a tweet announcing that he will pick one lucky customer on the exchange for an airdrop of 30,000 TRX tokens (approximately $600).

BITBOX itself has also announced a more detailed airdrop of 9,000,000 TRX that will take place over the next week and involve various stages, including a ‘sign-up’ event, ‘deposit’ event and ‘trading’ event. Each stage will offer varying degrees of rewards for customer participation, with the sign-up event offering 2,000 free TRX tokens to the first 2,000 registrations.
The exchange will also host a Twitter Retweet event offering TRX tokens for retweets.
TRX is currently trading at $0.02 with a market capitalization of £1.3 billion.
